Did you know that you can no longer use Facebook as an entry into a giveaway on your blog?
Go here to read the rules… I’ll wait….
Are you back??
Ok, so tell me, if you can’t use Facebook as an entry into a giveaway any more then why are so many bloggers still doing this? It spells it out in plain English in their rules:
You must not use Facebook features or functionality as a promotion’s registration or entry mechanism. For example, the act of liking a Page or checking in to a Place cannot automatically register or enter a promotion participant.
I can not tell you how many bloggers violate these rules on a daily basis. And it’s not just the bloggers, it’s the companies too. Every day we get at least 10 emails from companies asking us to run a giveaway with the entry being to “Like” them on Facebook. We refuse and send them a copy of Facebook’s rules and they get upset and move on to another blog. We are ok with that. We like rules. We like to follow the rules.
Are you Violating Facebook’s rules? Do you know someone who is violating Facebook’s rules? Be a friend and share this information with them. We have all worked hard to get our Facebook Friend’s and Fan’s and it would be a shame to loose them all because we violated a rule. Yes, I said loose them all. Your page will be deleted. All of those Friend’s you connected with, all of those Fan’s you worked hard to get, they would all be gone. All because you used Facebook as an entry on a giveaway.
So do the smart thing. Follow the rules.

The first thing I think about when I hear the words Nail Polish is that stinky smell. My mom always use to make me paint my nails outside because the smell bothered her so much. Now that I am older and I have kids of my own I wonder what nasty chemicals are in that stinky nail polish. That is why I have had a strict no nail polish rule in my house. My very allergic to everything in the world daughter does not need to be exposed to anything that may cause her an allergic reaction, including nail polish, so it was banned, until now….
Piggy Paint has no nasty smell, in fact it has no smell at all. None, zero, zilch! Same can be said for the Piggy Paint nail polish remover. Piggy Paint is my 6 year old daughter’s new best friend!!!
It comes in a ton of colors including a glow in the dark color that actually glows in the dark. We had a blast playing with that color. Layering it over other colors and doing our nails in just that color and holding our nails under the light then running to the dark bedroom to see our nails glow! I think I turned into a 6 year old while painting our nails!
From Piggy Paint’s Site:
Piggy Paint is specially formulated from God’s natural ingredients and dries to a hard, durable finish. There are no toxic chemicals; it’s free of formaldehyde, toluene, phthalates, Bisphenol A, ethyl acetate and acetone.
This is one of the things I LOVE about Piggy Paint (taken straight from their site)
Piggy Paint As a Learning Tool
Fine Motor Skills
Let your child paint your fingernails or toenails. If you’re worried about it looking (well, like a child painted your nails), opt for the toenails…you can always put socks on in public! This helps with her fine-motor skills and gives her a chance to exert her independence.Color Names
Are you trying to teach your child color names? Paint her nails with the specific color you’re working on (such as red) and declare it a “Red Day”. All day long, point out objects in her environment that match her nails, and encourage her to do the same. Wear red clothes, add red foods to mealtime and use a bath color tablet to make her bath water red. Once she’s mastered that color, paint her piggies a new color.Patterns
Recognizing different types of patterns is a hard concept learn for children to learn, so why not put patterns right at their fingertips? For example, if you’re working on simple patterns, alternate blue and yellow “Piggy Paint” on her fingers. As you go through the day, help her to make patterns with her toys, M&M‘s, crayons, beads…use your creativity. Have her refer to her fingernails for help. Start out with color patterns and then attempt other categories, such as big doll, little doll, big doll, etc. Ready for harder patterns? Move to three different colors or alternate pink, purple, purple, pink, and so on.School Colors
Does your daughter play any sports? Perhaps she has a favorite high school, collegiate, or professional team she cheers for. If so, paint her nails with her team’s colors to show her support.
We are in love with this nail polish! It would make great birthday gifts, Christmas gifts, or just a surprise gift for that little girl in your life! Piggy Paint comes in so many awesome colors we had a hard time choosing just a few to try out! We can tell you that the glow in the dark color was a great hit because, well, it glows in the dark! How awesome is that! They also have a line of colors for Mom’s as well as gift sets with the perfect pairing of colors!
