Coco-Zen came about when fellow chocoholic, Joyce Kushner, decided to take a break from the retail marketing to become a stay at home and care for her newborn son. While on maternity leave, Joyce spent her 45-minute baby nap “breaks” making chocolate desserts. She found that experimenting with chocolates (and tasting them!) helped her maintain post-partum “tranquility.”
Chocolate truffles were her favorite and Joyce soon developed several “harmonious” flavor combinations. Joyce would give them away to family and friends, while paying homage to the wonders of a little daily chocolate indulgence. The truffles were a hit, so Joyce decided to take a chance and say goodbye to corporate America and went into business for herself.

Anyone who knows us through Twitter, knows that Mom Stefanie LOVES chocolate and it is one of her absolute favorite subjects!
