“Originally founded as a part time eBay business back in 2002, we are one of the early players in this field. We soon became Power Sellers. I must admit that I am not the decorating type, at least for my children’s rooms. I have always tried to get the children’s rooms to look decent, but it has always been difficult for me to give them the lived in, comfortable room that they should have. Every time I have tried to decorate their rooms and put up pictures and add organizational items, it always seemed that they would rip their rooms apart and take the pictures off he walls. So, I guess in a way, I had sort of giving up.

That is, until I came across Simple Stencil. We had just moved to this new home and I wanted to paint and decorate the children’s rooms. As I was browsing through Simple Stencil’s site, I found so many magnificent stencils to put on their walls. I was impressed by their variety and the organization for which to search for the stencil that was right for you.

You could search by room, by interest, by holiday events, and by embellishment. Their inspirational catalog is filled with hundreds of ideas, phrases and quotes. You can even customize a stencil. They give you a wide variety of colors to choose from as well.

I tried out their customizable stencil on Simple Stencil’s site for Mom’s Most Wanted and this is the preview of what I chose in the “Inspirational” font:

I was so excited when I received the stencils from Simple Stencil, that I went out right away and bought paint for my children’s rooms. Simple Stencil offers you a sample word, so I decided to choose something that would be useful for our walls instead of some random word and this is what I chose:

I followed the directions and put it on the wall in our half bathroom downstairs above the toilet. Unfortunately our walls are not smooth surfaced, so with the sample words Simple Stencil provided, I devised a way to make it work. Now that I had practiced with my sample words, it was time to move on to the children’s rooms.

I had painted my sons room a light blue. My youngest son and I play the “How much do I love you” game, so I felt it would only be appropriate to choose the “You are loved to the moon and back” Stencil. After following the directions again, and adding what I had learned from the sample words, it came out looking phenomenal on his wall! We rearranged his room so that every morning when he wakes up and every evening before he goes to sleep this is what he sees.

Since we did not have smooth surfaces walls, once I used to the tool to get the stencil on the wall, I simply made a fist and used the side of my fist to rub the stencil down before taking the backing paper off to ensure that it stuck on the wall. It worked like a charm and was so simple! Now, if only my other two children would clean their rooms so that I can get their stencils up, I would be able to complete their rooms. The funny thing is that my youngest now keeps his room cleaner and does not take any of the pictures off the walls any more. The simple application of the Simple Stencil has made a difference in his pride of his room. Thanks Simple Stencil, one down, two to go!
