CLOSED – SafetyTats Giveaway! EXTENDED!

SafetyTat was born of necessity one weekend at an amusement park. On Labor Day Weekend, Michele and her husband, there with their three small children, felt out-numbered. To stave her panic, she quickly wrote her mobile phone number on each of their arms with a ballpoint pen. As she did this, she thoughtfully explained to each of them the importance of staying close to Mommy and Daddy. She also told them that if they were separated that the number on their arm was a way to reconnect with them. Throughout the day of fun, Michele had to rewrite the number several times as it smeared or washed off. Several parents in the park, stopped her to ask if that was her number on the kids’ arms. Each time, they loved the idea. The day was a success and the idea for SafetyTat was born.”

Safety Tat Girl

Oh, how I could have used SafetyTat about 12 years ago. I had taken my oldest child and a friend of mine to Disney for my birthday weekend. We stayed at the Disney campground. We planned on visiting all the different parks while we were there. Well, the first day we were there we went to Disneyland. You know, with the castle and the parades and all the stuff for little people. I must admit that I was a sucker for the Imagination ride before they changed it, but I digress…I told my child I was going to get us some ice cream so we could sit and watch the parade.

After I walked away, apparently my child decided he didn’t want to stay by my friend’s side, my son wanted to go look for me. When I returned with the ice cream, my son was gone….yes, I said gone! The streets had been cleared for the parade and here was this calm yet hysterically woman (me) walking up and down the streets yelling my son’s name. People were looking at me as if I were out of my mind, other’s were looking at me with disgust, and others seemed concerned. The security kept trying to get me out of the middle of the street, telling me that the parade was about to begin. I would yank my arm from them and told them that my son had wandered off and I WAS NOT going to stop yelling in the middle of the street until he was found.

Next thing I know, Disney closed the park! Yes, I said it, no one in, no one out! A child was lost and I was trying to stay calm, but the tears kept streaming like a river. Finally, after what seemed an eternity, a security officer called me over and there was my son. Apparently, he was just wandering around like he knew where he was going and a security guard asked him if he knew where his mother was. My son’s calm answer – “She went to get ice cream and I’m looking for her.”

When I got my hands on him, I didn’t know whether to hug him or beat the living crap out of him! I hugged him so hard, I probably almost broke his ribs. The I would put him at arms length and through crying eyes scolded him about how he should NEVER do that to me again, then the hugging began again, and then the scolding, so forth and so on, for about 10 minutes.

It was the worst feeling, as a mother, I have ever had and if I had had SafetyTats, I’m sure I would have felt a little more at ease. I would have had some type of security blanket, so to speak, knowing my cell phone number would have been on his arm or back of his neck.

Safety Tat AllergyI would never want another parent to feel the way I felt that day, so I am a proud supporter of SafetyTat. SafetyTat not only gives you security in case your child is lost, but also indicates if your child has allergies – perfect for the beginning of a school year for teachers that have to remember important information about 15 to 20 students (depending on your area) at a time.

Safety Tat Halloween
Halloween is approaching quickly and with all those children out there, SafetyTat would help give you, the parent, guardian, caregiver of your child the security to know that if the unimaginable were to happen and your child somehow got lost in the shuffle, SafetyTat would be there to help save the day!

Not to mention that SafetyTat comes in Spanish as well!

Safety Tat has also won many awards for their product. Winner of the iParenting Media Greatest Products Award, Mr. Dad Seal of Approval and the National Parenting Seal of Approval.

SafetyTats are easy to put on and easy to take off AND are hypoallergenic! When you put them on, make sure the skin is clean and dry. Pick a place where your child won’t pick at it like the backside of the arm or even the back of the neck. Then, peel a single SafetyTat from the sheet (take care not to touch the adhesive), stick it on (once it is on, it cannot be repositioned, so take your time placing it). Press the SafetyTat firmly for 20 seconds and slowly remove the protective layer at the slit. Finally, use the conveniently provided tattoo marking pen to write the emergency information. It is as simple as those tattoos the kids get from the bubblegum machines, except more durable and useful.

SafetyTat is graciously offering 3 lucky winner a chance to win SafetyTat’s Quick Stick Write-On! 6pk multi pack!
